Ball Clay Day Tomorrow in Gleason Tennessee

Posted By Ariel Hill-Davis, Thursday, October 5, 2017

Tomorrow kicks off the first event of 2017's North American Minerals Day. Imerys Ceramics, Old Hickory Clay Company, Gleason Clay Company, and Lhoist Spinks Clay are hosting the 3rd Annual Ball Clay Day in Gleason Tennessee. Like many of the minerals represented by IMA-NA, ball clay production is the main industry in its community. Tomorrow all four companies will put on a day to celebrate the role ball clay plays in the community. Festivities include mine tours, local artisans, large equipment displays, educational exhibits, local food vendors, and more. IMA-NA is excited to note that Ball Clay Day is becoming a local tradition and a great way for kids and adults of all ages to come learn more about the unique nature of their community and its role in the world. Stay tuned tomorrow for updates on the event!

The event will take place from 10-2 at Mike Snider Park.

Upcoming IMA-NA Events

Posted By Ariel Hill-Davis, Friday, July 17, 2015

The fall of 2015 will see three different IMA-NA events, each offering distinct opportunities to our members.  In September we will be convening our Annual Meeting at the Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida.  We are putting together a strong program that will allow members the chance to mix business with the networking opportunities that are so valuable to our industry.

To register for the Annual Meeting click here.

Following the Annual Meeting, there will be two different events in October.  October 5-6 Volvo will be hosting the Biennial IMA-NA Plant Maintenance and Optimization Seminar at their Manufacturing Facility in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.  The training opportunities at the Seminar should provide insight into how members can improve the ROI on large machinery.

To register for the Seminar click here.

The final fall event for IMA-NA, is the launch of the first North American Minerals Day. We are partnering with IMA-Europe to expand on the success of European Minerals Day by providing the framework for members to host events at their facilities.  These events will foster greater community knowledge and engagement with the industry.  North American Minerals Day will be taking place over the week of October 12th.  Please watch for our upcoming website launch which will hold all the pertinent information for hosting an event.   Registration is currently open for both our Annual Meeting and the Plant Maintenance and Optimization Seminar.

Posted By Ariel Hill-Davis, Tuesday, June 2, 2015

IMA-NA is pleased to announce the formal expansion of IMA-Europe's, European Minerals Day to include North American Minerals Day(s) in the fall of 2015.  As a part of our joint partnership for Industrial Minerals Associations’ Global Innovative Network (IMAGINe), IMA member companies in both Europe and North America will be educating their communities on both their operations as well as the positive impacts of the industry on the world.

The original European Minerals Day has grown steadily from its inception in 2007, providing the public in 2013 the opportunity to learn and engage with Industrial Minerals Producers at 113 sites in more than 170 events in 20 European countries & 11 events in the rest of the world.  IMA-NA is excited to build the platform in North America for members to participate in IMAGINe and continue to engage in meaningful dialogue about the industry. North American Minerals Day(s) will fall over the week of October 12, 2015.
