Omya Hosts Open Quarry Day at Tatlock Quarry

Posted By Ariel Hill-Davis, Friday, September 11, 2015

Tomorrow, September 12th, OMYA is hosting an open quarry day at their Tatlock quarry in support of North American Minerals Days and European Minerals Day 2015. OMYA has been participating in European Minerals Day since its start in 2007, hosting a variety of events to promote further engagement and awareness within their communities about OMYA's important role in the mining and production of calcium carbonate. Located in Ontario, the Tatlock quarry is the largest calcium carbonate mine in Canada with its products being used in paints, plastics, construction materials , as well as paper and packaging materials. IMA-NA looks forward to continuing to highlight industrial mineral producers through partnerships for both North American Minerals Days and European Minerals Days.  Below you'll find OMYA's invitation to the local community to come learn about the Tatlock Quarry.
