Mr. Ed Green of Crowell and Moring will make a presentation titled “Update on the Health Effects of Diesel Exhaust: DEMS and the Health Effects Institute Diesel Epidemiology Panel Report” during the Safety and Health Committee meeting at the 2015 IMA-NA Annual Meeting. Mr. Green’s talk will take place on Thursday, September 17 at 3:30 PM.
About Mr. Green
Edward M. Green is senior counsel in the Washington, D.C. office of Crowell & Moring where he concentrates on regulatory and legislative matters affecting the mining and natural resources industries. Mr. Green's practice focuses on safety and health matters arising out of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. He has decades of experience in complex occupational health issues relating to respirable dust, diesel particulate matter, silica, other airborne contaminants, occupational noise exposure, and the approval and certification of respirators and mining machinery and equipment. Mr. Green's background as a senior administrator of the federal mine safety and health agency and then as general counsel of the mining industry's trade association gives him a unique perspective and understanding of the personnel and workings of both the government and the mining industry.
