Greenhouse Gas Emission Tracking System

Fairmount Minerals, Ltd. (FML) developed a corporate-wide Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission Tracking System to calculate and manage GHG emissions and energy use at its facilities. A demonstration of the Tracking System is provided as an example to IMA-NA members of the basic setup and structure of a GHG Inventory. The demonstration is only an example and does not include actual data, factors, or company-specific information.

The following Microsoft Excel™ file contains Visual Basic macros. The Excel file must be saved to the User’s local hard drive to operate properly. Automated functions will not operate if opened in web browser.

Minimum Requirements: Microsoft Excel™ 97 or later.

In order to download and run the demonstration, please verify that your Microsoft Excel macro security level is set to “Medium” prior to opening the document. Use the following procedure to enable macros:

1. Open a new instance of Microsoft Excel.
2. Select the Tools menu option and then select Macro and Security. In the resulting Security dialog box, set the security level to “Medium” by clicking the “Medium” radio button.
3. Close any open Excel files and any other instances of the application currently running on the computer.
4. Open the file again and click the “Enable” button when prompted to allow for the unsigned macro to run.

When you have accepted the macro and completed the demonstration, you may wish to return the macro security level to its previous setting.
