Dust Control

During the fall of 2005 the IMA-NA established the Dust Control Taskforce. The taskforce is comprised of industry and government representatives (NIOSH and MSHA) and the objective is to develop a document entitled “Mineral Processing Dust Control Handbook”. This handbook will focus on the current technology/best practices relating to:

Bagging Operations;

Bulk Loading into Railcars and Trailer Trucks;

Dust Collector Systems;

Secondary Source Control;

Water Applications;

Conveying and Transport;

Crushing and Screening;

Haul Road Dust;

Milling; and

Blasting.
